The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library seeks an enthusiastic and outgoing, tech-savvy, customer service-oriented librarian to join our friendly team.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Communicating and coordinating with community organizations and schools.
- Planning, scheduling, and execution of outreach events in the community.
- Maintenance of outreach schedule and collaboration with staff.
- Coordination with director and department heads to generate ideas and new opportunities.
- Reference and Youth Services desk fill-ins.
Requirements:
- MLIS from an ALA-accredited program, or degree near completion.
- Interest in and familiarity with current trends in public library service and outreach, marketing, and technology.
- Valid driver's license.
Schedule: 10-15 hours per week (schedule TBD)
Salary: $35.18/hour ($27.18/hour for MLIS students)
