UK Wide Travel | Van Provided | Established Engineering Team Our client, a specialist in automated packaging machinery, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their growing service team. With a fleet of scheduled vans and a strong network of existing engineers, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and hands‑on technical work. The Role As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll provide preventative maintenance, fault‑finding and repair support across packaging machinery located throughout the UK. You’ll be responsible for delivering efficient, high‑quality service visits, with occasional full‑day assignments and rare overnight stays. This role offers significant travel, with work ranging from the South of England up to the North of Scotland. You’ll also attend the company’s head office in Leeds when required for training, meetings or technical support. Key Responsibilities * Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on packaging machinery * Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control‑system faults * Complete service visits efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for customers * Manage your van as a mobile workshop and parts store * Receive parts shipped directly to your home address * Maintain accurate service records and documentation * Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and reliable service * Collaborate with the wider engineering team and attend head office when required About You * Experience working with packaging machinery or similar automated/mechanical equipment * Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills * Comfortable with UK travel and occasional overnight stays * Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * Company van (used as a mobile warehouse) * All tools, equipment and parts provided * Supportive engineering team and structured scheduling * Varied work across multiple sites and industries * Opportunities for training and development
