Due to ongoing works, we are seeking a Trade Assistant / General Labourer to support site operations on a large-scale project in Nigg, Scotland. This position is open to candidates local to the Nigg area, as well as those seeking DIDO opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting site supervisors and trades with day-to-day works and general labouring duties
- Manual handling, moving materials, tool support and maintaining tidy work areas
- Assisting with demolition / deconstruction activities including preparation and strip-out works
- Fire watch support during hot works where required
- Acting as a vehicle banksman / spotter to assist safe movement of plant and vehicles
- Loading/unloading materials and keeping laydown areas organised
- Operating hand tools and basic power tools (where authorised and competent)
- Site housekeeping, waste segregation and general clean-up duties
- Following RAMS, site safety procedures, PPE and permit requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience working on large construction / industrial sites
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow site instructions
- Right to Work in the UK (essential)
- You must hold valid documentation confirming your legal right to work in the UK (examples include UK Passport, Irish Passport, Settled/Pre-Settled Status, or a valid work visa/permit)
- UK driving licence (preferred – essential if applying DIDO)
- CCDO card (preferred – can be upskilled via Liberty)
- Asbestos Awareness (preferred – can be upskilled if required)
- Dump Truck / Telehandler / MEWP tickets (preferred – can be trained on site)
- Hot works / burning experience (preferred – training available if required)
- Demolition or deconstruction experience
Pay, Travel & Overtime
£17.50 per hour
