This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing things properly: handling incidents with professionalism, building genuine relationships with colleagues across the business, and bringing a positive, customer-first attitude to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complaints and investigate security incidents, processing accurate written reports on injuries, thefts, assaults, vandalism and other relevant matters.
- Support the security team in the apprehension of shoplifters, always acting in accordance with Liberty policy and procedures.
- Operate and maintain proficiency across all security systems, including CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, fire systems and IT security equipment.
- Ensure all customers, visitors, contractors and staff feel safe and well looked after at all times.
- Build a security-aware culture across the store by engaging with retail departments and responding to their queries with confidence.
- Ensure all store opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.
- Uphold Health, Safety and Welfare standards for staff and customers, implementing emergency procedures when required.
- Respond professionally to first aid incidents and complete all required documentation.
- Manage Cash Office duties including opening, distributing cash bags and emailing daily discrepancy reports to Sales Managers.
- Control and order change floats, ensuring the shop floor is always sufficiently stocked.
About You
- You hold a valid SIA licence.
- You have experience in a security role, ideally within retail or a customer-facing environment.
- You are calm under pressure with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You take a proactive, courteous approach with customers, visitors and colleagues alike.
- You have a solid understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities in a public-facing environment.
- A first aid qualification and experience with security systems such as CCTV and access control would be a bonus, as would a background in luxury or high footfall retail.
- Additional Information
This is a full-time role working 45 hours per week, across our Flagship Store and Head Office. Flexibility may be required to support the needs of the business.
