Liberty London, an iconic London institution, has created covetable prints and beautiful products for more than a century. In 2023, Liberty launched its first luxury fragrance collection; due to the success of the launch, LBTY has continued to add to its portfolio. With demand for the range now extending into new territories, Liberty is looking to add an International Sales Manager to the team to continue to drive growth and uncover new opportunities.
A new role to the business, this position will be instrumental in supporting the growth of Liberty LBTY into a multi-channel and global entity, with a focus on expansion into new territories. As an ambassador and custodian for the brand, your key partnerships will be working with the Sales, Reporting, Export, Design & Production teams. An entrepreneurial and experienced International Sales Manager is needed to propel growth, a top priority for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Tracking: Track territory/distributor/retailer forecasts to ensure sales align with targets. Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, using metrics to assess performance and make data-driven adjustments.
- Distributor and Retailer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution and retail partners to ensure successful collaboration and product placement.
- Budget Management: Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to all territories as needed. Collaborate with brand team on training materials. Ensure all sales brand content is up to date, accurate and accessible to partners.
- Trade Marketing Development: Develop distribution an go to market strategies and plans globally. Work closely with distributors and sales agents to develop specific retailer plans annually.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities to inform trade marketing decisions with a focus on ROW markets.
- Promotional Campaigns: Execute promotional campaigns, including in-store displays, product sampling, and point-of-sale materials to drive product visibility with all key accounts. Utilise knowledge of local markets to ensure effective communications.
- Systems Knowledge: Set up new accounts as needed, monitor orders and ensure fulfilment against distributor and retailer forecasts.
- Industry Events: Planning and overseeing participation in industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase our products and strengthen brand presence.
- Growth: Identify and scope new opportunities in existing and future markets, leveraging network.
- Trademarks: Own trademark progress in current and future territories
- Product Development: Giving feedback on market specific challenges for products in development and offer solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Analytical: Ability to analyse market data and derive actionable insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including retailers, distributors, and partners.
- Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with retailers and partners to secure optimal product placement.
- Highly organised, results orientated and passionate about beauty.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international sales or a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with marketing analytics tools, stock management systems a plus.
