The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Innovation and Digital Design Lead to embed ethical, creative, and purpose‑driven digital learning across our school. This is not about screens for the sake of screens—it’s about weaving digital thinking into real‑world problem‑solving, storytelling, and joyful exploration. You’ll help us ensure that the digital world our children step into is one they feel equipped to navigate and inspired to influence. You’ll guide our staff, support our families, and work alongside children to co‑create an approach to technology that is thoughtful, vibrant and entirely Liberty Woodland School.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead our digital learning vision, ensuring it aligns with our child‑led approach.
- Build a bespoke digital curriculum that spans media design, ethical tech use, creative coding, and storytelling—blending it seamlessly into our projects and forest learning.
- Design and curate a flexible, child‑led space for digital exploration—from animation and podcasting to robotics and maker projects.
- Lead conversations around mindful tech use, screen balance, and online identity—ensuring all learners (and staff) engage with digital spaces in a healthy and empowered way.
- Inspire and train colleagues to bring digital tools into their practice in meaningful and confidence‑building ways.
- Community & Partnership Building: Connect us with innovators, creatives, and ethical tech partners who can elevate the digital experiences of our learners.
