The role of the Junior Designer is to work with colleagues, customers and suppliers in the creation and delivery of bespoke customer wine lists, tasting booklets, invitations, web assets and marketing materials across print and digital mediums.
Key Responsibilities
- Tasting booklets: own the end-to-end production of tasting booklets and invitation creation to deliver final publications to agreed deadlines with impeccable attention to detail. This includes, but is not limited to, establishing and agreeing deadlines, aligning with the Events team (and other relevant stakeholders) on structure and content, liaising with suppliers on print specifications and cost.
- Tasting invitations: create eye-catching invitations and flyers for Liberty events, producer-brand-specific events and customer events in line with brand requirements.
- Menus and wine lists: work with Sales teams and customers to create and deliver bespoke restaurant menus and wine lists in line with customer brand specifications.
- Label design: work with Sales teams and customers, from restaurants to National Accounts, to create bespoke label designs in line with customer briefs and specifications.
- Website & company documents: review the look and feel of the company website, presentations and documents to ensure they align with the Liberty style-guide and Design “tone of voice”.
- Inbox support: support the Senior Designer by actioning a share of tasks received by request to the Design team inbox. Use strong communication and priority management skills, multitasking and excellent attention to detail to do so.
About you
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a busy design environment.
- Advanced skills in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Microsoft software.
- Excellent design sense, layout, and typography skills.
- Experience preparing final artwork files across print and digital.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multi-task and handle a range of projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethic, proactive and innovative approach to all tasks.
- Wine knowledge is not essential, but curiosity and enthusiasm about the food and drink industry will help you thrive.
