Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our client's Private Client team, focusing on Court of Protection matters. This flexible role is ideal for those dedicated to supporting vulnerable clients across the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client inquiries and open case files.
- Prepare and file Deputyship applications, liaising with the Court of Protection.
- Draft correspondence and maintain client relationships.
- Visit clients and coordinate with deputies, attorneys, care homes, families, and professionals like social workers.
- Oversee clients' personal affairs, including financial records and data entry.
- Update registers and assist with annual reports.
- Work with marketing to promote services and attract new business.
- Meet fee income targets while adhering to quality and risk standards.
- Stay current on Court of Protection legal developments.
- Drive cross-referrals within the firm.
Requirements
- Legal experience, ideally in Court of Protection matters.
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (preferred).
- Proficient in IT, including word processing; experience with case management systems (e.g., SOS Connect) a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
