We are seeking a skilled Employment Law Solicitor to join our dynamic private practice, with the flexibility to work fully remote from home. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, provide expert guidance on employment law matters, and contribute to the firm’s growth. The successful candidate will be motivated, client-focused, and have a track record of handling employment cases in a private practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality advice on a range of employment law issues to individual and corporate clients, including employee rights, contracts, dismissals, grievances, and discrimination cases.
  • Handle a varied caseload independently, from initial consultation to case resolution, ensuring excellent client service and compliance with legal standards.
  • Represent clients in employment tribunals, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes as needed.
  • Draft, review, and amend employment contracts, handbooks, policies, and other relevant legal documents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering timely, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Stay current with developments in employment law and advise clients accordingly to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • UK-qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in employment law within private practice.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law with proven experience in advising clients and handling cases independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing clear, practical, and commercially viable advice.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a caseload remotely, and stay organised in a flexible work environment.
  • Confidence in tribunal representation and other formal proceedings is a plus.
