An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Lead HR Business Partner to join a fast-growing international business on a fixed-term basis. This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to provide strategic HR support while overseeing the day-to-day management of a global People function. You'll lead a small international HR team, drive key people initiatives and ensure HR operations continue to run smoothly across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organisational design, workforce planning and business transformation.
- Partner with the executive team to align people strategy with wider business objectives.
- Lead organisational change initiatives and support business growth through effective people planning.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across the HR function to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach and develop an international HR team.

- Oversee performance management, employee engagement and retention strategies across the business.
- Partner with leaders to build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous development.
- Ensure onboarding, learning and development initiatives are scalable, effective and compliant across multiple jurisdictions.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and performance cases.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across multiple countries.
- Oversee employment contracts, policy updates and complex employment documentation.
- Maintain oversight of global right-to-work, visa and employment compliance processes.
- HR Operations & Projects
- Provide strategic oversight of global HR systems, ensuring data integrity and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Finance on payroll, benefits, pensions and wider reward activities.
- Lead HR transformation projects, including process improvements, compliance initiatives and organisational change programmes.
- Review and improve HR policies, processes and governance frameworks.
About You:
You'll be an experienced senior HR professional with a proven track record of partnering with executive stakeholders and leading international HR teams. You'll bring:
- Significant experience as a Senior HR Business Partner, Head of HR or HR Director.
- Strong organisational design, workforce planning and change management experience.
- Excellent employee relations knowledge and confidence handling complex cases.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law, with exposure to supporting global workforces.
- Experience managing and developing remote or international HR teams.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading HR projects and driving operational improvements.
- Experience with global HR systems and international payroll would be advantageous.
