My client, a prestigious and well-established law firm with a rich heritage spanning over 100 years, is seeking a dedicated Trainee Paralegal to join their Court of Protection team. The Opportunity:
This is an exceptional chance for a Trainee Paralegal to develop their career within a specialist Court of Protection team. As a fee-earning position, you'll be integral to delivering high-quality legal services whilst gaining valuable experience in this rewarding area of law. The successful candidate will ideally possess a Law degree or demonstrate significant legal sector experience. Whilst comprehensive training will be provided, candidates should show genuine enthusiasm for Court of Protection work and possess relevant knowledge or experience in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing file administration from inception
- Handling initial client enquiries professionally
- Preparing and submitting deputyship applications
- Liaising directly with the Court of Protection
- Drafting routine legal correspondence
- Conducting client visits and maintaining relationships with Deputies, Attorneys, and Representatives
- Maintaining accurate case management systems and documentation
- Managing clients' personal affairs comprehensively
- Building relationships with care facilities and family members
- Processing financial data and maintaining up-to-date records
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
Personal Attributes:
The ideal candidate will be proactive, tactful, and demonstrate genuine care and compassion when dealing with vulnerable clients. Flexibility, efficiency, and a positive outlook are essential qualities for this role.
Working Arrangements:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:15pm (36.25 hours per week)
- Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
