We are working with a highly regarded specialist tax advisory firm looking to hire an Associate to join their growing team. This is a niche, high-calibre team made up of lawyers who have trained and worked at leading City and national firms. The firm operates with the agility of a boutique, while delivering work typically associated with much larger practices. The role offers exposure to complex, high-value transactional and advisory work, particularly across private equity, M&A, and corporate structuring.

You will work closely with senior tax specialists on a broad range of matters, including:

  • Tax advice on M&A, private equity and corporate transactions
  • Drafting and negotiating tax covenants and warranties on live deals
  • Advising on reorganisations, demergers and business structuring
  • Supporting on employee share incentives (EMI, CSOP, growth shares)
  • Advising on SEIS/EIS investments and tax-efficient structures
  • Property tax matters including SDLT, VAT and structuring

The team is heavily involved in live transactions and regularly works alongside corporate lawyers, law firms and accountancy firms to deliver seamless, commercially focused advice.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE
  • Strong academic background and excellent training
  • Experience in transactional / corporate tax
  • Exposure to areas such as M&A, share incentives, or structuring work
  • Technically strong with the ability to deliver clear, practical advice
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote, collaborative environment

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Opportunity to work on high-quality, complex transactions typically seen at top firms
  • A specialist tax-only environment, offering deeper technical exposure
  • Regularly advising law firms, accountancy firms and high-growth businesses
  • A team known for delivering commercial, pragmatic and user-friendly advice
  • Broad exposure across advisory work, rather than being siloed

  • Small, close-knit team with a strong collaborative culture
  • High level of responsibility and direct exposure to senior lawyers and clients
  • Weekly team touchpoints and ongoing technical training

Salary & Benefits
