- Oversee statutory accounts, external audit and regulatory reporting.
- Support high-quality, accurate and timely financial reporting across the organisation.

- Build strong, open and collaborative relationships across finance and the wider organisation.
- Lead, support and develop senior finance professionals.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, inclusion and shared accountability.
What we’re looking for:
- Significant experience operating at Director level within financial services.
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- A strong background in financial control, including Financial Controller-type roles.
- A solid working knowledge of tax, with the ability to provide clear advice and guidance.
- Experience presenting to Executive Committee and Audit Committee audiences.
- Experience working in complex, regulated environments.
It would be great if you also have:
- In-house financial services experience (rather than a purely consulting background).
- Experience in retail or consumer-facing financial services.
- Experience working within large or multi-entity organisations.
- Exposure to pensions tax (not essential, but a strong working knowledge is important).
How you’ll work:
- Enjoys working in partnership and bringing people together.
- Is warm, approachable and credible with senior stakeholders.
- Brings calm, thoughtful judgement to complex decisions.
- Is commercially aware and pragmatic in their approach.
- Leads with clarity, influence and purpose rather than hierarchy.
What success looks like:
- Senior leaders and committees have confidence in financial control, reporting and tax advice.
- Clear, well-understood governance and ownership across the organisation.
- Strong, effective engagement with Executive Committee and Audit Committee.
- A high-performing, engaged senior finance team led with clarity and direction.
