An exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior insurance professional to join a specialist insurance business in London. The role would suit someone with 1–2 years’ experience within the insurance market who is looking to take the next step in their career and broaden their knowledge of the specialty insurance space. Working closely with an experienced team, you will provide support across the day-to-day insurance and underwriting process, helping to manage workflow and taking ownership of a range of responsibilities as your experience develops.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day support to the wider insurance and underwriting team
  • Assisting with the preparation and processing of insurance documentation
  • Supporting new business and renewal processes
  • Reviewing and maintaining accurate policy and client information
  • Liaising with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders
  • Assisting with underwriting administration and technical processes
  • Managing allocated tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Supporting with reporting, data and general insurance administration

About you:

We’re looking for someone who has already gained 1–2 years’ experience within the insurance industry and has a good understanding of insurance terminology and processes. This could be someone currently working within broking, underwriting, underwriting support, insurance operations, technical support or insurance administration who is keen to develop their career further. You’ll ideally have:

  • 1–2 years’ experience within the insurance market
  • A good understanding of the insurance lifecycle and terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • A genuine interest in developing within the specialty insurance market
