The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of housing matters and provide advice, representation, and advocacy across a broad range of legally aided housing work. The role will involve working closely with paralegals and support staff, supervising junior team members where appropriate, and assisting with compliance and legal aid requirements.
Managing a caseload of housing matters including:
- Homelessness
- Housing disrepair
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate
- Managing legal aid applications and billing files
- Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency and SQM requirements
- Building and maintaining relationships with community organisations and referral networks
Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate
- Strong experience handling legally aided housing matters
