Our client is a leading business brokerage and M&A consultancy specialising in the sale of small and medium-sized enterprises. They are currently seeking a commercially driven Deal Origination Analyst to join their London team. This pivotal role is at the heart of the firm’s growth strategy, focusing on sourcing and originating new sell-side mandates to expand the organisation's portfolio.

Working directly with the Managing Director and senior advisors, the successful candidate will gain significant hands-on exposure to corporate finance, private markets, and deal origination. Daily responsibilities involve proactively identifying and sourcing new sell-side opportunities across target sectors and regions. You will build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified business owner prospects through market mapping and sector research. The role requires leading outbound origination efforts via phone, email, and LinkedIn using tailored, high-quality messaging to initiate relationships with business owners. You will qualify prospects based on deal size, sector, and ownership structure, subsequently booking meetings for senior advisors and assisting in the preparation of pitch materials. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records within the CRM system to track pipeline value and conversion rates.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong interest in M&A and private equity. Our client requires a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must possess the confidence to engage in outbound outreach to business owners and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
