Roles and Responsibilities
- Arranging commercial insurance for a variety of clients, including but not limited to property owners, commercial combined, office, retail, household, travel and motor fleet.
- Managing own portfolio of clients, ranging from medium to large clients.
- Responsible for generating new business via incoming calls, referrals and recommendations, providing quotations, mid-term adjustments, claims handling and renewals (circa 30-50 per month), general enquiries, chasing premiums, dealing with general administration and cross selling.
- Client meetings face to face at their offices, meeting underwriters to negotiate renewal terms, mentoring junior staff members, supporting Accounts Teams with debtors, insurer statements and finance queries, supporting CEO to ensure smooth running of portfolios.
- Generating your own business via incoming calls, referrals, and recommendations.
- Negotiating renewal terms with underwriters.
- Ensuring all clients receive proposal forms, TOBA’s, etc.
Candidate Profile
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly property.
- Experience using Acturis.
- Will have a can-do attitude and be willing to learn.
- Polite telephone manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and insurers.
