About the Role:
This Tech Product Owner will be responsible for supporting and configuring Salesforce. It will be a key member of the team responsible for implementing, maintaining, and championing Salesforce, working closely with the global Salesforce teams. This role will initially focus on continuing the implementation of the Underwriting Journey and CRM via several priority initiatives across multiple business functions, collaborating with colleagues in Technology and Operations Business Agility Lead. Salesforce functional and configuration experience is essential.
About the Department & Team:
The Technology team reports to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for delivering key services to the LII and LMRe Business, covering technical services and business processes. The team provides architecture, delivery skills, and resources to support business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the voice of the customer and the organization as part of the Agile team, delivering business value.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize features and stories aligned with customer needs and organizational goals.
- Understand customer problems in detail, ensuring they are clearly defined and prioritized.
- Develop a deep understanding of supported technologies and systems, collaborating across portfolios.
- Contribute to program vision development with Business Agility Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Monitor user adoption and develop product KPIs.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear, actionable user stories.
- Participate in planning, demos, retrospectives, and ceremonies.
- Clarify requirements, remove roadblocks, and support alignment around product strategy daily.
- Align development and business goals with stakeholders and teams, resolving issues quickly.
- Maintain product health, balancing long-term viability with costs and outcomes.
- Analyze feasibility, costs, and implications of product changes.
- Understand regulatory and industry constraints, prioritizing accordingly.
- Build and contribute to the product roadmap and program planning.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding delivery and value.
- Lead customer-driven design, usability testing, and market analysis.
- Support testing, user research, and UX efforts.
- Assist Scrum Master in removing impediments.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience with Salesforce and business process optimization.
- Knowledge of Salesforce sharing, security, and configuration changes.
- Experience in insurance industry or functional areas.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Agile teams and influencing team direction.
- Ability to understand complex requirements and propose solutions.
- Active participation in Salesforce Community.
