Based in Chichester, paying up to £65,000 with excellent company benefits, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement and supply chain leader to take ownership of strategy, supply chain operations and inventory planning within a successful manufacturing business.
The role:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, ensuring goods and services are sourced effectively, competitively and on time.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing appropriate contingency plans.
- Optimise inventory levels, balancing availability, operational requirements and working capital.
- Work collaboratively across operations, logistics, finance and other functions to improve supply chain performance.
- Utilise ERP systems to improve procurement, inventory management, supplier performance and reporting.
- Lead system and process improvements, ensuring accurate data and greater visibility across the supply chain.
- Manage procurement budgets and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness without compromising quality or service.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to senior-level decision-making, helping to prioritise business initiatives and projects.
- Identify and manage risks relating to supplier performance, market conditions and regulatory requirements.
About you:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement, planning or supply chain leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong commercial and supplier management experience, including contract negotiation.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management, forecasting and supply chain planning.
- Confident managing budgets, KPIs and supplier performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
