Liberty Private Care are looking for a Care Assistant to join our select team to work around 30 hours a week including working alternate weekends. You need to be flexible in your availability, be a car driver with use of a car and have at least 2 years experience in a regulated adult care service (e.g., residential home, hospital, homecare). An NVQ in Health & Social Care would be an advantage.
We provide comprehensive training both during your paid induction and during your time working for us. All of our visits are a minimum of one hour so you are not rushed in providing your care, and you are paid for travel time between clients as well as mileage. We welcome carers without an NVQ; however, if you do not have an NVQ the hourly rate is up to £14.00/hr Monday-Friday and £14.50/hr at the weekend. If you have an NVQ the hourly rate is £14.50 Monday-Friday and £15.50 at the weekend. Experience in complex care or looking after children/young adults with disabilities would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
You will be providing care for people in their own homes. This can include personal care, companionship, making meals, or taking clients out. We also work with clients who have more complex needs or who may be near the end of life, but we would not ask you to care for a client unless you have the experience and/or training to do so competently. We allow sufficient time for travel between clients so you are not rushing, and we pay you for travel time. Our management team is supportive and we provide an on-call service outside office hours for urgent queries. We have regular staff social events and a commitment to training to enable staff to go beyond the usual requirements.
If you would like to work for a company that provides a high level of care and values its staff, apply now to Liberty Private Care.
Qualifications
