As a Ridge Vent Machine Operator with Liberty Plastics, you will join a team of dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds who are committed to safety and quality and take great pride in creating corrugated plastic solutions that protect and provide product security to a range of industries. This full-time position reports on the 2nd shift to the Production Supervisor at our Liberty Plastics location in Baldwyn, Mississippi.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect master rolls loaded onto the conveyor.
  • Splice onto rolls for glue line usage prior to the router.
  • Monitor the depth and quality of routed material to be glued.
  • Ensure correct material placement between the router and the gluer/folder.
  • Check JD Edwards Item Availability for rolls on the conveyor.
  • Scan master rolls with the RF gun.
  • Assist with line changeovers.
  • Cut scrap rolls and convert rolls to four-foot stick product.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and debris-free.
  • Monitor and report quality issues.
  • Troubleshoot minor problems; seek supervisor assistance if needed.
  • Band completed pallets.
  • Print finished goods move tickets.
  • Scan finished product with RF gun.
  • Stretch wrap completed pallets.
  • Assist with palletizing and catching rolls off the glue line.
  • Assist with rework at the end of the glue line.
  • Cut down scrap and convert certain scrap to four-foot sticks.
  • Check item specifications for correct palletizing.
  • Cross-train in all RVR department positions.
  • Support team members as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or team leader.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read work instructions (SOPs, Specs, etc.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment with speed and precision.
  • Comfort with technological tools and basic mechanics.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Basic math, reading, computer, blueprint reading skills.
  • Availability to work overtime as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience a plus.
  • RF Scan Gun experience a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay rate is $17.00 per hour, with potential adjustments based on experience, skills, and location. Eligibility depends on hours worked.
