We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer II to join a growing IT team in a senior, hands-on support role. This position is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, systems administration, project execution, and mentoring junior support staff. Initial training will be onsite, with hybrid flexibility available after onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II technical support and serve as an escalation resource for complex issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems involving endpoints, Microsoft 365, identity management, and collaboration tools.
- Administer and support Windows environments, Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, Windows Server, and PowerShell.
- Support endpoint imaging, provisioning, asset management, deployment, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve network-related issues involving DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead IT projects and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Mentor junior support team members and promote support best practices.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with additional compensation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on desktop support experience in Windows environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, and PowerShell.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and taking ownership through resolution.
- Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft administration.
- Exposure to data cabling or computer facilities maintenance.
