Role Summary

The Team Lead is responsible for the performance and health of the Digital PR portfolio, ensuring the team delivers strong client results while contributing to the department’s revenue, margin and utilisation targets.

Working closely with the Operations Director, they translate strategic direction into clear priorities, delivery standards and team development. They remain billable team members, primarily through advisory work, review, client communication and strategic oversight, while ensuring the team delivers consistently high standards across client accounts.

They also support pitching, renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the Digital PR client portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the Digital PR team to achieve client KPIs, commercial targets and service standards.
  • Translate strategic direction into clear priorities and delivery standards for the team.
  • Oversee content quality, strategy alignment and reporting accuracy across the Digital PR portfolio.
  • Own campaign standards, outreach quality, media engagement standards and authority-building frameworks across the team.
  • Manage team capacity, project allocation and deadlines.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Run regular 1:1s and quarterly reviews to support individual development and accountability.
  • Act as the escalation point for client or delivery issues within the Digital PR team.
  • Work closely with SEO, Paid Media, Social, Content and Client Services teams to deliver integrated strategies and campaigns.
  • Lead channel client calls and QSRs, connecting performance back to client goals and commercial outcomes.
  • Support pitches, renewals and upsell opportunities with clear and commercially grounded Digital PR input.
  • Ensure all work meets Liberty’s quality standards and demonstrates clear commercial value.
  • Contribute to channel dashboard and P&L management, identifying efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive renewal and upsell opportunities within existing accounts in collaboration with the Client Services team.
  • Collaborate with other channel leads to support integrated planning and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, automation and improved ways of working within Digital PR delivery.
  • Step into delivery work when needed to support the team or protect deadlines during capacity gaps.
