This is a role for someone who cares about people, clarity, and doing client-facing work that genuinely matters. My client is a small, purpose-driven healthcare communications practice working at the intersection of patient advocacy, health literacy and health psychology. They partner with global pharmaceutical organisations to help patient voices be heard thoughtfully, ethically and with real impact. They are intentionally small, around 10 people, proudly independent, and deeply values-led. Their culture is built on trust, curiosity, empathy and mutual support. They care not only about the quality of their work, but about how it feels to do it.

The role, in human terms:

  • This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role.
  • You will help keep projects running smoothly, ensure clients feel supported, and keep the wider team organised and informed.
  • You will work closely with senior colleagues and specialists across research, health psychology and strategy, often acting as the bridge between insight and execution.
  • You will be in client meetings, taking notes, tracking actions, managing timelines and budgets, and making sure nothing and no one gets dropped.
  • Because this is a small business, you will also see the whole organisation, not just your piece of it.
  • As you evolve, there is genuine scope to grow your responsibilities and help shape what comes next.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of multiple client projects from planning through to completion.
  • Owning timelines, actions, calendars, meeting notes and follow-ups.
  • Helping clients feel calm, supported and confident that everything is in hand.
  • Reviewing materials to ensure they meet briefs, objectives and quality standards.
  • Supporting financial tracking across accounts.
  • Working closely with senior team members on programme reviews and next steps.
  • Spotting issues early and helping solve them thoughtfully.
  • Pitching in where needed, because that is how small, high-trust teams work.

Most client work is virtual and international, primarily across the US and Europe. The team comes together in London once or twice a month, with flexibility to meet more frequently if desired. International travel opportunities are likely as the role develops.

About you:

  • You are likely to have 3–4 years’ experience in a healthcare agency, consultancy, NGO or similar client-services environment.
  • You understand what it means to deliver for clients in practice, not just in theory.
  • You might come from healthcare communications, patient advocacy, social science, psychology, market access or policy-adjacent work.
  • What matters most is that you are:
  • Highly organised and quietly on top of detail.
  • Comfortable and professional in client meetings.
  • Thoughtful, calm and reliable, someone people trust.
  • Genuinely interested in health, patients and meaningful outcomes.
  • Happy working independently in a virtual environment.
  • Kind, collaborative and curious.

This is not a research role. There is a dedicated research team in place, but curiosity and respect for evidence-based work are important.

Practicalities:

  • Salary: Β£37,000–£42,000
  • Location: Virtual, with regular London team days
  • Working from home: A suitable setup is required for confidential client meetings
  • Travel: UK and international, as required
