Who you’ll be working with:
We are seeking a dedicated and driven Product Owner. In this role, you will play a critical part in our efforts to maintain the competitiveness of our legacy products while simultaneously focusing on new offerings that assess financial loss and risk.
Experience and skills we need:
- 3 years’ experience in partnering with agile software development teams to create solutions, software, or products with a focus on delivering business value through partnering with customers, stakeholders, or end users.
- Knowledge of a product mindset and in guiding agile software development teams through Design Thinking, Impact Mapping, or alternative product related techniques.
- Have facilitated and conducted product discovery or user research.
- Have conducted backlog grooming, feature prioritization, UAT, and communicating business value activities.
Experience and skills we’d love:
- Industry recognised Product related certifications or qualifications.
- Have worked with software development teams building software products and solutions for large business organisations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver business value to our customers through successful product delivery in line with the business unit strategic vision and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Agility Group, including Senior Business Analysts and Product Owners, to understand and break down initial Epics into actionable deliverables (stories).
- Support the development of the QBI underwriting program and assist with production support to ensure seamless operations.
- Analyze inherited requirements from the defined Epic and Product Roadmap, collaborating with the Business Agility Group on prioritization and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Engage with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to stay informed on progress and facilitate effective communication.
- Drive product focus on legacy maintenance while evaluating and enhancing new products and services.
- Manage KPIs, backlog prioritization, and demonstrate the value delivered to stakeholders, with limited autonomy in roadmap definition.
- Working with multiple stakeholders, contribute to the development and evolution of the product roadmap that the team will be responsible for delivering.
- Champion a product mindset with the business and development teams.
- Have a strong understanding of the business unit strategic vision and communicate this with perspective customers.
- Collaborate with customers to discover their business problems and identify product solutions to meet these needs.
- Working in an agile manner, nurture strong working partnerships with business stakeholders and encourage the team to become closer to the Customer / Stakeholders.
- Implement usability and feedback metrics to validate the successful delivery of business value to the customer.
- Evaluate, communicate and adjust the metrics as required.
- Maintain a user story backlog to enable the delivery team to create MVP solutions to add customer value incrementally and quickly.
- Communicate and detail user stories through backlog refinement sessions with the team.
- Collaborate with the team on the design and technical approach to the delivery of a prioritized backlog.
- Support the team to remove roadblocks that prevent team delivery of business value.
- Partner and mentor with other team members and people across Liberty IT to grow your career.
- Validate the product solution through exploratory testing on user stories and post implementation validation via user feedback.
- Demonstrate through validation how the value and vision of the solution are met.
