Our client is a well-established organisation dedicated to delivering an exceptional employee experience across a diverse workforce. They are seeking a proactive People Advisor to join their People team, providing operational support and guidance across a broad range of people-related activities. Based in Southampton, paying up to £38,000 alongside an excellent range of company benefits, this is absolutely not an opportunity to be missed.
What you'll do as a People Advisor:
- Provide advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR policies, procedures, and people-related matters
- Support the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, family leave, and absence management
- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, delivering a professional and responsive service
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR systems are updated and managed effectively
- Produce and analyse people-related reports, identifying trends and highlighting areas for action
- Support HR Business Partners with employee relations matters and wellbeing initiatives
- Assist with the preparation of management information, reports, and documentation
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation to support the delivery of HR services
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that support the wider people strategy
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience within a generalist HR or People Advisor role
- CIPD Level 3 desirable
- Strong understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle
- Excellent administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Experience advising managers or stakeholders on HR policies and procedures
- Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a genuine passion for delivering excellent service
