Liberty Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a fantastic global organisation in the search for an experienced HR Operations Lead! Our client is a rapidly growing organisation with an office presence across 5 continents. They are seeking a highly experienced HR Operations Lead. This newly created role reports into the HR Director, you will be responsible for building the HR Operations and Shared Services Functions across the UK & Ireland.
This Southeast based role comes with hybrid working options and will also involve regular travel to head office in central London as well as other locations in the UK. You must be comfortable with travel for this role. This permanent position is paying circa £75k with a great list of benefits!

What you’ll do as an HR Operations Lead:
- Lead and develop the HR Operations & Shared Services function, driving a high-performing, customer-focused service
- Define and implement service standards, processes, governance frameworks and SLAs
- Manage, coach and develop the HR Operations team, ensuring clear accountability and workload visibility
- Act as an escalation point for complex HR operational matters
- Oversee payroll and benefits delivery across the UK & Ireland, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support HRBPs and managers with robust, compliant ER processes
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to processes and policies
- Support organisational change, acquisitions and TUPE activity
- Produce regular HR reporting (headcount, absence, turnover, recruitment and service metrics)
- Develop dashboards and insights to support decision-making
- Ensure HR operations comply with UK & Ireland employment law, GDPR and internal policies
The ideal candidate will:
- Have significant experience leading HR Operations, HR Shared Services, People Services or HR Administration teams
- Be experienced in managing multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines
- Have strong experience in payroll, benefits and employee lifecycle administration
- Come with strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR compliance requirements
- Have experience improving HR processes, controls, automation and service delivery
- Be very knowledgeable on HR systems, reporting and data governance
- Ideally have experience in complex, multi-site or matrix organisations
- Have excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
- Have excellent attention to detail with the ability to balance operational delivery, governance and employee experience
- Be resilient and comfortable with change and alternating priorities
- Ideally be CIPD Level 7 qualified or come with equivalent experience
