Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading and growing organisation in the search for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team on a 6 month FTC, Reporting into a fantastic Head of HR This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys being close to the operation and working alongside managers and senior leaders to deliver a strong people agenda.

You’ll act as a trusted partner to the business, providing pragmatic HR advice, coaching managers and helping to ensure colleagues are supported fairly, consistently and in line with company values and employment legislation.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with operational leaders to understand business priorities, provide pragmatic people advice and deliver effective people plans.
  • Manage and advise on complex ER matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
  • Coach and develop managers to build their confidence and capability, while providing constructive challenge where required.
  • Support organisational change, workforce planning and consultation, working closely with Recruitment and L&D to address vacancies, skills gaps and development needs.
  • Use people data and insight to identify trends and opportunities across engagement, retention, absence and workforce capability, implementing practical actions to improve the colleague experience.
  • Lead and contribute to People projects, compliance activity and continuous improvement initiatives, providing visible HR support across sites. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong generalist HR experience, ideally gained within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics or another operational environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex ER cases from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • A resilient, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience would be desirable.
  • A full driving licence and own transport are essential. Company Benefits:
