Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be working exclusively with an exciting and rapidly growing start-up in the search for an experienced Standalone HR Manager to take ownership of their HR function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on HR professional who enjoys building and shaping processes from the ground up.

Working closely with the founders and senior leadership team and reporting into a fantastic and supportive Head of HR.

The business is also entering an exciting period with plans to establish a presence across the US and Australian markets.

This is a Permanent role which is very Hybrid with a minimum of one day a week in the office based in Fareham.

Offering a salary of circa £55,000 plus annual bonus and some fantastic benefits (which you will help build!)

What you’ll do

  • Lead the HR function and advise employees, managers and senior leaders.
  • Build compliant, HR policies, processes and systems.
  • Provide practical, commercially focused advice across a broad range of people matters.
  • Support workforce planning and expansion across the UK, US and Australia.
  • Drive engagement, culture and benefits, using HR data to guide decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the way HR operates and introduce solutions that are scalable for future growth.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Broad HR generalist or management experience, ideally standalone or in a small team.
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law is essential.
  • A proactive, pragmatic and organised approach, with strong communication and stakeholder skills.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and uncertainty, particularly within a fast-moving environment.
  • CIPD qualification preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • US or Australian HR knowledge is advantageous.
