We are seeking someone on behalf of our client with an FMCG brand marketing background for this rare opportunity to join a genuinely ambitious global brand in a role that sits right at the heart of its decision-making. Our client is building a world-class Consumer & Market Insight function, and this Senior Manager role is central to that mission. You'll be the voice of the consumer at board level: owning brand health tracking, building audience frameworks, synthesising data from multiple sources and translating it into clear, actionable strategies that shape everything from creative development to media investment.

It's a role for someone who is rigorous and systematic by nature, someone who doesn't just deliver research, but builds the infrastructure, frameworks and learning agenda that allows a complex international organisation to make smarter decisions, consistently, across every market. With 15+ years of client-side CMI experience required and a genuine global remit spanning the UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Austria and North America, this is a serious role for a serious operator, someone who thrives on complexity, leads with clarity and knows how to make the consumer the most influential voice in the room.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Manager, Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) is the voice of the consumer and the co-pilot to Brand Marketing leadership. This role exists to drive consumer understanding into every consequential business decision; from brand architecture, strategy, creative development and omnichannel communication to media investment, brand mix and product development. It is a growth stewardship role: owning the learning agenda, translating complex, multi-source data into clear and actionable growth drivers, and ensuring our client's brands win on mental availability, distinctiveness and sustained consumer relevance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consumer & Category Understanding: Lead continuous understanding of consumers and the cultural context shaping category behaviour across the UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Austria, North America and future growth markets. Define target audience frameworks grounded in insights, need-states, behavioural patterns and attitudinal segmentation. Build brand personas that give Brand, Creative and Media teams a vivid, actionable picture of the people they are trying to reach. Monitor cultural signals, competitive dynamics and consumer shifts that present category growth opportunities or brand barriers.
  • Brand Health: Own and continuously evolve the brand health tracking framework covering awareness, salience, consideration, brand meaning, equity drivers and portfolio differentiation. Translate brand performance data into clear, prioritised growth levers. Establish a clear view of brand portfolio roles and where to concentrate investment for maximum return.
  • Insight to Action & Business Influence: Synthesise multiple data sources, brand trackers, custom research, product research, campaign trackers, into clear, decision-ready narratives that shape brand, media and portfolio strategy. Act as a proactive thought partner to Brand, Media, Digital and Markets teams, ensuring consumer understanding informs how strategies are built, not just evaluated.
  • Measurement & Marketing Effectiveness: Define and manage a holistic measurement ecosystem including brand tracking, campaign effectiveness and Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM). Use MMM and attribution frameworks to quantify the contribution of brand investment to business growth. Evaluate campaign performance with intellectual honesty — surfacing what is working, what needs to change and what the organisation should learn for future cycles.
  • Cross-Market Integration: Define and steward a structured learning agenda across an international portfolio — ensuring the organisation builds cumulative knowledge rather than repeating the same questions market by market. Create systems for insights to flow across markets and act as a connector between global and local teams.

EXPERIENCE & PROFILE

15+ years in Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) with a clear track record of business impact. Strong client-side experience is essential, agency or consultancy background alone will not be sufficient. Proven delivery across multiple international markets. FMCG background essential; experience in entertainment or betting/iGaming a plus. Track record of influencing senior stakeholders through clarity, evidence and conviction. Strong executive-level storytelling and ability to simplify complex analysis for non-research audiences.
