We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading media agency based in London, who operate a specialist integrated team managing global brand campaigns across 30 markets worldwide. Structured around regional clusters, the team functions as an always-on partnership: part strategic consultancy, part data intelligence unit, part media planning engine. This is not a traditional agency role. It is a new model and they are looking for someone to help define it.
The Global Media Planning Manager is the strategic and analytical backbone of the team at the regional level. You will own a cluster of markets, translating global brand strategy into locally relevant, data-informed campaign architectures and feeding intelligence back to the centre to sharpen global decision-making. This is a fast-paced account with short turnarounds as part of the rhythm. You are organised, decisive, and able to produce high-quality work at speed without losing strategic rigour. You are also the primary point of contact for local marketing teams across your cluster markets — excellent communication and presentation skills are central to how this role creates value.
What You Will Do
- Regional strategy and campaign planning
- Adapt global brand strategy into integrated, cluster-specific campaign architectures
- Develop and own local media plans across your cluster markets, from annual planning through to campaign launch
- Make clear, evidence-based media mix recommendations grounded in performance data and market insight
- Brief and manage local media and digital teams, aligning their execution to cluster strategy
- Consult on local market nuance, cultural context and campaign timing — bridging the centre and the market
- Data-led decision making
- Use performance data and analytics to generate predictive, actionable recommendations — not just reporting
- Continuously evaluate media mix effectiveness and make optimisation recommendations across channels
- Maintain a clear view of cluster performance against shared KPIs and measurement frameworks
- Feed market-level intelligence into global quarterly business reviews and planning cycles
- Stakeholder management
- Serve as the primary contact for local marketing teams across all markets in your cluster
- Lead regional QBRs with a clear performance narrative and forward planning recommendations
- Manage multiple stakeholder relationships across geographically dispersed markets with pace and clarity
- Operate within a clear RACI: accountable for regional plan quality, consulted on global strategy
- Collaboration and ways of working
- Work as an integrated member of the central team, reporting to the Global Business Lead
- Partner with the Digital Hub and Transformation confident presenting to and managing senior stakeholders across multiple markets simultaneously
- Able to work at pace, meet short turnaround requests, and maintain quality under pressure
- Strong English language skills — English is the working language of the central team
