WPS have an exciting opportunity for a Section Manager / Assistant Site Manager to join our Planned Works team, delivering high-quality improvement programmes across the social housing sector in the Birmingham area. This role will support the delivery of multiple planned maintenance workstreams, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on programme and to a high standard.

  • Kitchens & Bathrooms
  • Windows & Doors
  • Roofing
  • External & Internal Planned Works
  • Net Zero / Decarbonisation works

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day management of planned maintenance programmes across multiple sites
  • Supervise operatives and subcontractors, ensuring productivity, quality and H&S compliance
  • Assist with short-term programming and coordination of works
  • Attend pre- and post-inspections and support resolution of any defects or variations
  • Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and residents
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with contractual, statutory and KPI requirements
  • Support accurate reporting on progress, quality, H&S and labour
  • Promote a customer-focused approach in occupied properties

About You:

  • Proven experience in social housing planned maintenance
  • Background as a Section Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Supervisor or similar
  • Experience across multiple workstreams (kitchens, bathrooms, externals, or decarbonisation)
  • Strong understanding of health & safety within occupied environments
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage teams and stakeholders effectively
  • Organised, proactive and keen to develop your career within a growing business
