We are looking for a Sourcing Delivery Specialist to join our team in London or Reading. This hybrid role has expectations to work in the office at least three days a week. Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Delivery Manager, you will deliver sourcing activities for our customers, including RFI, RFP, RFQ processes, contract renegotiations, and contracting. You will lead sourcing activities at one of our LBPS customers, with potential involvement with different customers over time.

You will work closely with the Sourcing Strategy team, providing customer-specific input during strategy development, and align on negotiation strategies while leveraging category and supplier insights during the delivery stage. LBPS frequently forms cross-functional teams with representatives from various departments to tackle sales opportunities or drive supplier innovation. These teams provide excellent opportunities for the Sourcing Delivery Manager to gain broader procurement experience.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to Category Strategy development and collaborate closely with the LBPS Category Intelligence team for your projects/suppliers.
  • Translate the Sourcing Strategy into an implementation plan, deciding between competitive processes or direct renegotiations.
  • Refine requirements with internal customers and prepare RFI/RFP/RFQ documents in our online sourcing tool.
  • Drive the supplier selection process, engaging with all stakeholders (e.g., internal customers, LBPS Category Intelligence team, legal, finance) to achieve the best outcomes and meet critical metrics (e.g., procurement benefits/savings targets, customer satisfaction).
  • Consolidate tendering or renegotiation outcomes into agreements, such as Framework agreements for new suppliers or Statements of Work for existing suppliers.
  • Calculate and monitor the procurement value delivered (e.g., price reductions, cost avoidance, TCO improvements) in line with LBPS savings rules.
  • Support internal customers with formal change requests or other commercial changes during the contract's life.
  • Monitor the contract renewal roadmap to allow ample time for sourcing activities.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or finance.
  • Expertise in sourcing, including competitive bidding and effective tendering processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, effectively engaging with individuals at all levels of the organization and the supply base.
  • Valued skills in negotiation preparation, execution, supplier screening and selection, and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Skilled in using procurement technology tools and systems, especially supplier collaboration tools.
  • Comfortable with figures, and adept at collecting, analysing, and interpreting data.

Desirable:

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive improvements with excellent management skills.
  • Pragmatic, results-driven, with a can-do mentality.
  • Confident in negotiation.
  • Academic background in business administration, finance, procurement, or equivalent experience.

  • Competitive salary + Bonus
  • 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more
  • Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance
