The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for delivering Believ’s public‑sector charging projects through the full B2G end‑to‑end operating model. Reporting to the Head of B2G but line managed by the Senior Project Manager Lead, this role mirrors much of the delivery scope of the Lead, focusing on managing projects through site identification, design, build, energisation and activation, while ensuring consistent governance, quality and predictability across the portfolio.
You will work closely with Account Managers, the Site Selection Team, Build Delivery, Commercial, Legal, Network Operations and external partners to ensure that each project progresses smoothly and efficiently through every stage of the lifecycle.
Project Delivery Ownership- Manage end‑to‑end delivery of public‑sector charging projects from commercial handover through to operational activation.
- Ensure each project moves through required stages including:
- Site Selection & Feasibility
- High‑Level and Detailed Design
- Internal & Local Authority approvals
- Build preparation & scheduling
- Energisation & activation
- Identify and resolve blockers relating to design, DNO/ICP requirements, planning constraints, contractor readiness and stakeholder engagement.
- Jointly manage Local Authority relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate communications, approvals, timelines and change requests with Local Authority partners.
- Co‑lead meetings where design, delivery, cost or programme updates are required.
- Ensure sites are viable, prioritised appropriately and progressed smoothly through feasibility and approval pathways.
- Integrate site selection outputs seamlessly into planning, design and delivery phases.
- Work closely with Build Delivery, Commercial, Legal, Network Operations and other internal stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
- Ensure adherence to standardised workflows, templates and approval gates.
- Support continuous improvement of the B2G operating model.
- Maintain accurate, real‑time project data in Sitetracker and Monday.com.
- Use dashboards to provide visibility of pipeline health, risks, dependencies and key performance indicators.
- Conduct proactive risk assessment and mitigation across all projects.
- Manage escalations involving Local Authorities, DNOs/ICPs, contractors and internal teams.
- Ensure a smooth handover to Network Operations for optimisation of live sites.
