As part of the Global Security Threat & Vulnerability Management team, the Cyber Threat Intelligence team collects, processes, and analyzes data to produce information an organization can use to understand the threats that have, will, or are currently targeting our organization. Threat Intelligence also provides expertise in supporting the resolution of advanced or complex security threats against Liberty Global, as well as advising on best practice countermeasures and detections. The Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst role will strengthen the Threat Intelligence program by collecting, processing, analyzing, and disseminating actionable intelligence.

What will you be doing?

  • Identifying information security and Threat Intelligence requirements and oversight of delivery.
  • Engaging with the business unit to ensure emerging information and cyber security threats to the business are identified, discussed with senior business leadership, and addressed through presented opportunities of security innovation including through the delivery of verbal threat briefs to the business and building strong relationships within Group Security.
  • Embedding information security and cyber across the business unit by establishing positive relationships engaging with technical teams to deliver regular Threat Intelligence reporting and mitigation advisory and seek continuous improvement of CTI process.
  • Focusing on awareness and training including by providing briefings to senior leadership on cyber threats and risks.
  • Supporting the delivery of awareness and training to the relevant business unit team and high-risk users and promoting awareness of these issues to the wider business to further cement a security culture across the group.
  • Partnering with different functions working on controls by acting as lead Threat Intelligence Specialist performing CTI Incident Response activities, including providing further context, OSINT support, and behavioral analysis in the event of a security incident impacting the business unit.
  • Carrying out continuous improvement of the function, mentoring threat intelligence analysts by sharing learnings and best practices and also being a point of escalation.

Essential:

  • Good knowledge of best practice information security controls and the potential impact of controls on business operations.
  • Good understanding of security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to translate technical guidance into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Skilled at identifying security risks and exposures as well as remedial controls and processes.
  • Experience of working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify and embed security controls in line with business risk appetite.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver high quality support to senior stakeholders and collaborate with the wider team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally and across different locations and cultures as a strong team player that enjoys collaborative problem solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience of supporting security governance initiatives within a telecommunications organization.
  • Exposure to, and experience in, technical security disciplines (e.g. Security Architecture, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management).
  • Experience in researching new or emerging security requirements (e.g. new regulation or technology).
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • Achieved and willing to work towards - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) / Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
