nexfibre is a next-generation fibre broadband company, formed in December 2022 as a joint venture between InfraVia Capital Partners, Liberty Global and Telefónica. We are on a mission to deliver high-speed broadband across the UK on a wholesale basis that can be used by all retail Internet Service Providers - our network currently passes over 2.6M homes. We are backed by a £4.5 billion investment by our investors and banks. Working closely with our commercial & strategic partner Virgin Media O2, we will create the only national scale fibre to the home network to compete with BT Openreach. We are supporting the Government’s ambition to tackle digital exclusion, deliver nationwide ultrafast broadband rollout by 2030 and level up disconnected communities by investing in the areas we’re building in and acting as a net contributor.

Job Purpose

A Senior Project Manager with experience of UK Telecommunications Network and IT (BSS & OSS) is required to act as the IT Integration Manager, the primary operational interface between nexfibre and our IT partners, defining the integration strategy, leading analysis and ensuring Legal Day 1 readiness. Then moving into being accountable for the nexfibre end-to-end delivery of integration programmes, service assurance continuity, data and asset reconciliation, and remediation activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • IT activities to support the IT Transformation into Delivery.
  • Managing stakeholders and partners, ensuring effective governance and a smooth transition to BAU operations, enhancing service performance and efficiency where required.
  • Input to the IT strategy, design and planning.
  • Track execution of IT deliverables.
  • Nexfibre’s OPEX/CAPEX spend - forecast vs actual.
  • Ensure the IT BSS systems integrate with Partner IT Systems (CRM, Order management, Appointing, Billing etc).
  • Ensure the IT systems integrate with OSS platforms (inventory, provisioning, assurance systems).
  • Assure service and ops processes (fault, incident, performance management).
  • Identification and remediation of data capture, ops processes and system inconsistencies should they occur.
  • Coordination of stakeholder engagement across internal teams and partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery of integration objectives.
  • Ensure smooth go-live readiness (NOC, Ways of Working, IT Ops etc).
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Senior internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in large IT transformation or integration programmes.
  • Solid Senior Project Management skillset: Planning, Tracking, Governance, RAID and Budget Management.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle, from Vision, through Requirements, into Solution Architecture, Design, Build, Test and Launch.
  • Knowledge of UK Telecoms OSS/BSS systems, from APIs, provisioning and assurance of Broadband services.
  • Logical mindset to understand how to best test and troubleshoot IT and Network issues that end subscribers may have.
  • Be able to work in a friendly, very collaborative company, with 3+ days a week in the London Paddington Office.
  • Internet Service Provider or Alt-net wholesaler experience.
  • Data Projects (source to data lake into reporting) experience.
  • IT Security and structural separation understanding.
  • Previously held a Solution Architect or Solution Designer position.
  • Understanding of the UK fibre network architecture FTTP and what’s needed from IT Systems to allow end customers to utilise it.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications.
