We’re looking for a Senior Tech Analyst! You will lead technology strategy analysis and strategic planning initiatives across Liberty Global's technology portfolio, including digital transformation, M&A activities, infrastructure optimisation, and innovation programs. Drive comprehensive strategic research, advanced analytics, and market intelligence to support senior leadership decision-making and provide strategic recommendations across all areas of technology strategy.

What will you be doing?

  • Technology Strategy Leadership & Strategic Planning
    • Lead technology strategy analysis and development support across infrastructure, cloud, mobile, digital platforms, and emerging technology domains.
    • Drive strategic technology roadmap development and long-range planning initiatives aligned with Liberty Global's business objectives.
    • Lead business case development and advanced ROI analysis for major technology investments, transformation programs, and strategic initiatives.
    • Conduct comprehensive technology performance analysis and strategic benchmarking to optimize technology portfolio and investment decisions.
    • Lead technology strategy documentation, strategic planning processes, and executive presentation development for senior leadership and board-level forums.
  • M&A Strategy & Integration Leadership
    • Lead technology due diligence activities for M&A transactions including comprehensive target company technology assessment and strategic valuation.
    • Drive analysis of technology synergies, integration strategies, and post-merger technology optimization across complex acquisition scenarios.
    • Lead strategic analysis of technology acquisition targets, partnership opportunities, and investment evaluation for portfolio expansion.
    • Develop comprehensive technology integration roadmaps, resource planning, and timeline development for major M&A activities.
    • Drive competitive positioning analysis and strategic market assessment to inform M&A strategy and technology investment prioritization.
  • Innovation Strategy & Technology Assessment
    • Lead comprehensive analysis of emerging technology trends including AI/ML, edge computing, 5G/6G, IoT, quantum computing, and next-generation platforms.
    • Drive innovation strategy development and technology pilot program leadership across Liberty Global operations and OpCos.
    • Lead strategic evaluation of technology partnerships, startup ecosystem engagement, and innovation investment opportunities.
    • Conduct advanced assessment of technology platforms, architectural decisions, and strategic technology adoption across the organization.
    • Drive innovation governance processes, technology evaluation frameworks, and strategic innovation portfolio management.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
    • Lead competitive intelligence and strategic market analysis on technology capabilities, strategic positioning, and industry transformation trends.
    • Drive comprehensive market research and industry analysis to inform technology strategy development and strategic investment decisions.
    • Lead technology vendor strategy analysis, partnership evaluation, and strategic supplier relationship development.
    • Conduct regulatory and policy analysis related to technology developments and strategic impact assessment for Liberty Global operations.
    • Lead development of technology thought leadership, strategic positioning, and industry influence initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Strategy Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Lead collaboration with Engineering, Product, Operations, Finance, and M&A teams to provide strategic technology guidance and analytical leadership.
    • Drive technology governance and strategic planning processes including executive committee support, strategic reporting, and decision facilitation.
    • Lead technology budget strategy analysis, investment forecasting, and strategic financial performance assessment across technology domains.
    • Provide strategic leadership for technology transformation initiatives, organizational change programs, and operational optimization projects.
    • Lead stakeholder coordination and strategic communication for technology strategy initiatives across OpCos, business units, and external partners.

We tend to look for people with:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related analytical discipline.
    • Minimum 4-6 years experience in technology strategy, strategic consulting, M&A analysis, or senior analytical roles with proven leadership experience.
    • Deep understanding of telecommunications and technology industry dynamics, strategic trends, and competitive landscape across multiple markets.
    • Proven experience in strategic analysis, advanced financial modeling, business case development, and strategic planning processes.
    • Strong knowledge of technology domains including network infrastructure, cloud computing, software platforms, emerging technologies, and digital transformation.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with expertise in strategic research methodologies and data analysis tools.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Advanced degree (MS, MBA) in technology management, strategic planning, or related discipline.
    • Experience in telecommunications, technology, or management consulting with focus on strategic technology analysis and M&A activities.
    • Proven track record in M&A due diligence, technology integration, and post-merger optimization initiatives.

    • Professional certification in strategic planning, technology management, or M&A analysis.
