We’re looking for a Director, Audit Risk and Compliance Services to join us in London, United Kingdom. Reporting into the MD Blume Business Solutions, the Director for Audit Risk & Compliance (ARC) provides leadership and direction for the Liberty Blume’s ARC department within Blume Business Solutions (BBS). The primary aim will be to ensure a quality customer service focused delivery of these products while leading the strategy for expansion into internal and external markets.
The Primary Purpose Of This Role Is To Provide:
- Quality customer service for each of the ARC pillars
- Optimal efficiency of service for each pillar of the operation; working closely with the technology and transformation team to ensure customer focused transformation
- Management of end to end customer change, carrying the voice of the customer into the Blume central transformation team
- Deep strategic oversight of operational excellence across the pillars of Blume
Together with the team across Blume, this role forms the Blume senior leadership team led by the MD of Blume Business Solutions. The Director of ARC will be critical in delivering the BLUME Operating model and ensure strategic ownership of customer transformation within significant areas. The role also has lead responsibility for growing profitable revenue in these functions across the federation and to third party customers. Specifically, this role is key in delivering the services across our customer and supporting growth in customer value in the ARC area, both with upselling of existing customers and cross selling within the business. This role will create a positive and supportive culture that encourages individual development, knowledge transfer and succession.
Reporting to the MD of Business Solutions, the Director will work across Audit, Risk & Compliance, split into Internal Audit, IT Audit and SOX compliance. The team will serve large customers across Europe, managing their end to end internal audits, IT and Sox Compliance. The Director will be responsible for expanding this customer base and offering compelling cross and up selling solutions. This may require significant travel to European headquarters. The Director will be responsible for maintaining key relationships and ensuring consistent dialogue with Liberty Global’s central function where there will be dotted line reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
- The Director of ARC Services will lead the relevant service offerings across Blume, develop the internal strategy for growth of the service and will be responsible for:
- Ensure all internal audit activity complies with relevant practices for the customer
- Leads weekly delivery status reviews to Liberty Global stakeholders
- Leads quarterly customer account reviews
- Leads a team of high quality and qualified Audit Risk & Compliance professionals
- Develops the strategy for a growing Audit Risk & Compliance function
- Monitors and reports on the contractual SLAs for the team to ensure maintained quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Identifies and prioritises high-risk and emerging risk areas while identifying themes across each customer based on industry trends and regulation changes, ensuring continuity, controls and governance.
- Leads the creation for productions of E-Learning where required or requested
- Reviews and approves any Escalation internal audit reports prior to presentation to VP & MD of ARC in Liberty Global.
- Ensures all findings and recommendations are articulated clearly, actionable and aligned with the respective Organisation’s risk appetite.
- Consistently seeks to improve and evolve audit methods, data points and automation
- Closely reviews and implements areas of technology that will enhance efficiency, effectiveness and insight for Internal Audit
- Provides regular updates to the VP of LG’s Audit Risk & Compliance to identify emerging risks, trends and any outcomes from ongoing audits.
- Ensures robust processes are in place for tracking, validating and reporting remediation of findings to the customer’s Senior Leadership, Liberty Global and Liberty Blume.
- Principal liaison between internal audit function and Liberty Global VP & MD of ARC.
- Identify new customer opportunities through cross and upsell from existing clients of Blume and federation of companies associated with Liberty Global
- Identify new customer opportunities through working with business development and knowledge of the market in external and third party opportunities where able to scale.
- Responsible for the IA testing, drafting and SOX testing under the Guidance and Supervision of Liberty Global.
Knowledge And Experience Preferred/Desirable qualifications:
- University degree with accounting, finance or business administration emphasis or equivalent.
- Public Accounting professional qualification (preferably ACA, ICAEW) CPA, ACA, CIA, CIPM, CISA or Equivalent Certifications
- Proven delivery in a Shared services-like and/or BPO operating model
- Excellent leadership, change management and decision making skills.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across the company – build bridges.
- Ability to be supportive, consultative and collaborative and to work effectively across national boundaries.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to translate complex system terminology into business lexicon and vice versa.
- Strong interest in technology and innovation with a keen eye for detail in process improvement and automation
- Strong background in budgeting and general accounting
