We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of renewable retrofit projects across the South region. This is a key leadership role supporting the Operations Director and driving performance across multiple contracts.

You’ll take ownership of operational delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while leading and developing high-performing site teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Site Managers delivering renewable retrofit works
  • Oversee multiple live projects, ensuring progress, programme adherence and KPI performance
  • Attend sites regularly and engage with clients, stakeholders and internal teams
  • Drive operational excellence across Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps and ventilation measures
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets and resource allocation across contracts
  • Ensure compliance with PAS 2030/2035, MCS and relevant accreditation standards
  • Maintain strong health & safety performance with a zero-tolerance approach
  • Report on performance, risks and progress to senior leadership
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, clients and delivery partners

About You

We’re looking for a strong leader with experience in renewables or retrofit environments who can manage complex, multi-site operations.

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience in operational management within renewables or retrofit projects
  • Strong knowledge of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 compliance
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in social housing
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 6 Project Management, SMSTS, IOSH, or equivalent)
