Overview:
We are currently supporting a high-performing global advisory firm in identifying an experienced professional to join their growing M&A strategy (Commercial Due Diligence) team. This is a rare opportunity to work on high-impact commercial due diligence (CDD) and growth strategy projects across a range of sectors and geographies, particularly within the private equity space.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead and deliver Commercial Due Diligence engagements for both buy-side and sell-side clients
- Analyse market dynamics, customer behaviours, competitive positioning, business models, and key value drivers
- Provide clear, insight-led recommendations on target company positioning and long-term commercial viability
- Manage senior client relationships, including regular engagement with deal team leads and C-suite executives
- Support business development through proposal writing, client pitches, and go-to-market initiatives
- Coach and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and oversight on projects
- Collaborate with colleagues across European offices to support cross-border engagements
- Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the firm’s M&A advisory practice
Qualifications / Experience:
- Significant experience in M&A advisory or strategy consulting, ideally with exposure to private equity clients
- A proven track record of leading CDD or strategic advisory projects in deal environments
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability, including comfort working with market, financial, and operational data
- Experience shaping investment theses and addressing transaction-critical questions
- Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives and investors
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing top-tier client deliverables
- Sector experience in technology, healthcare, industrials, or business services (preferred but not essential)
