We are actively recruiting a live mandate for a leading independent technology investment bank in London, who are looking to appoint Associates to join their team. The team are experiencing strong deal momentum and require someone execution focused, with a commercial mind.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Contribute to the sourcing, structuring, and execution of M&A and private capital transactions across sell-side, buy-side, growth equity, and sponsor-backed mandates, including the preparation of high-quality pitch books and client presentations.
- Play a central role in the execution of live transactions, owning defined workstreams and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of outputs.
- Support and lead transactions from inception through completion, managing deliverables, timelines, and coordination across internal teams and external advisers.
- Act as a primary liaison for clients during transactions, including leading client discussions and meetings as required.
- Review and quality-check work produced by junior team members, identifying issues and upholding rigorous accuracy and presentation standards.
- Oversee transaction due diligence processes, drafting core responses with minimal client input and coordinating external due diligence providers.
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients, financial sponsors, and other key market participants.
- Mentor and coach Interns, Analysts, and junior team members, supporting skills development and fostering a strong execution-focused team culture.
Experience
- 4–7 years of professional experience within M&A investment banking, corporate development or private equity.
- Demonstrated transaction exposure within digital infrastructure and/or TMT, Technology or Software sectors.
- Strong commercial curiosity and entrepreneurial outlook, with a clear interest in technology shown through professional experience, academic focus, or relevant extracurricular involvement.
Skills
- Advanced analytical and numerical skill set, including valuation methodologies, financial modelling, LBO analysis etc.
- Comfortable operating autonomously while also contributing effectively within team-based settings, supporting senior colleagues and developing junior talent.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with a willingness to take ownership and drive deal execution and broader business initiatives.
