As part of continued strategic growth, the London office is seeking a Director to join its FIG M&A team, with a focus on delivering best-in-class advisory services across banking, insurance, asset & wealth management, fintech, and specialty finance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of complex M&A transactions across the FIG space, including both sell-side and buy-side mandates.
- Manage day-to-day deal processes and client interactions with minimal supervision.
- Drive origination efforts, working closely with senior leadership to develop new business opportunities and expand the firm's FIG footprint in the UK and Europe.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, financial sponsors, and institutional investors.
- Oversee and mentor junior bankers (Analysts/Associates/VPs), ensuring high standards in analysis, presentation materials, and client communication.
- Contribute to thought leadership and market insight within FIG sectors, helping to shape strategic dialogue with clients.
- Collaborate across the global FIG platform to leverage relationships and cross-border expertise.
- 9–12 years of relevant investment banking experience with a focus on FIG M&A (bulge bracket, elite boutique, or top-tier advisory firm).
- Deep sector expertise across one or more FIG verticals (e.g., banking, insurance, fintech, asset management, specialty finance).
- Proven track record in executing and originating M&A transactions.
- Strong technical skills, strategic thinking, and commercial judgement.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing deal teams and interfacing directly with senior clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach and high integrity.
- Existing network and relationships within the FIG space preferred.
- ACA, CFA, or MBA a plus, though not required.
