About the Firm

Our client is a leading mid-market firm, well-recognised for its strong track record across M&A. The firm has delivered exceptional growth over recent years, advising on numerous high-profile transactions across the UK, Europe, and North America. With a collaborative culture, entrepreneurial environment, and a reputation for execution excellence, they are now seeking to appoint a Director or Senior Vice President to join their Business Services M&A team as part of their continued expansion.

The Role

As a Director / Senior Vice President, you will play a key role in leading the origination and execution of mid-market M&A transactions across the Business Services sector (HCM vertical experience is preferred). This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team with strong deal flow and the autonomy to grow your own client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A mandates.
  • Originate and develop new client relationships and deal opportunities across Business Services verticals (e.g. professional services, outsourcing, facilities management, human capital, and education).
  • Oversee and mentor junior team members, ensuring the highest quality analysis, materials, and client service.
  • Collaborate closely with Partners on strategic growth initiatives and client development.
  • Contribute to the firmโ€™s visibility through market insights, thought leadership, and participation in industry events.
  • Drive commercial outcomes while maintaining the firmโ€™s strong reputation for integrity and excellence.

Key Requirements

  • 9+ years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance (ideally from an investment bank, Top 10 or Big 4 corporate finance team).
  • Strong track record executing transactions within the Business Services sector (HCM vertical experience is preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead deals, manage client relationships, and originate new opportunities.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and presentation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset with experience managing and developing analysts and associates.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, strategic thinking, and a genuine passion for building business.
