We’re looking for an Oracle Fusion Financials Specialist to join our team in either Bradford or Reading on a permanent basis. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with expectations of spending two to three days in the office. We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Oracle Fusion Financials Specialist with deep expertise across Core Finance Modules to join our Enterprise Systems Managed Services Team. You will bring strong business process knowledge along with the capability to lead, deliver and enhance application functionality in line with evolving business needs. This role requires someone confident working independently while providing clear updates to the Senior Finance and Projects Manager.

The successful candidate will have extensive, demonstrable experience in:

  • FIN – Accounts Receivables, Cash Management, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Sub‑Ledger Accounting, Intercompany and Tax.

You will play a key role in a growing and developing team, contributing to high‑quality Managed Services and change delivery. Responsibilities include leading small‑scale deliverables, providing 2nd‑line support for global Oracle FUSION and EBS (11.5.10 and 12.2) environments, as well as supporting integrated peripheral systems. A strong understanding of Service Level and Support Agreements, Audit, Security and Compliance requirements, and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential. Please note that this role will involve travel to both UK and international locations.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, and optimisation of Oracle Applications (Cloud FIN and E‑Business Suite) across multiple entities.
  • Maintain system stability by supporting end users, managing incidents and problems, performing root cause analysis, and handling Service Requests (SRs).
  • Manage release, patching, and testing activities, including quarterly updates, regression testing, and all aspects of Change Management.
  • Carry out configuration and system administration tasks, including implementing configuration updates, small enhancements, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Design and deliver Oracle FUSION and EBS FIN small‑works items aligned to the demand pipeline.
  • Create functional design specifications for FIN and coordinate testing cycles.
  • Produce solution designs and supporting functional specification documentation.
  • Maintain and update configuration documentation to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Apply best‑practice support methodologies, leveraging technical and business‑process expertise to resolve issues within SLA and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Assess the impact of change requests and provide effort estimates for new requirements.
  • Review existing business processes and recommend improvements where appropriate.
  • Work independently and proactively, managing a fast‑paced and varied workload effectively.
  • Share Oracle expertise across the team and provide support to colleagues as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong, proven experience in Oracle Financials across Oracle Fusion and Oracle EBS (12.2+), ideally within Managed Services/Delivery teams.
  • Hands‑on involvement in designing and implementing Oracle FIN in Multi‑Org, Multi‑Currency environments.
  • Significant experience delivering Oracle FIN design and implementation in Multi‑Org, Multi‑Currency environments, including Fusion and EBS configuration, functional design documentation, and testing activities, with a minimum of two end‑to‑end Oracle Fusion PPM implementations at client sites.
  • Competent UK/US FRS and IFRS standards.
  • Strong functional knowledge across core finance cycles: P2P, R2R, O2C, A2R, including PPM.
  • Broad technical exposure to Oracle EBS R12, including:
    • Oracle schemas
    • Public APIs
    • SQL & PL/SQL
    • Reporting tools (OTBI, OBIEE, Business Objects)
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach to escalation and resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a busy team environment.

Desirable

  • A relevant University degree or equivalent
  • Oracle Certified FIN Cloud Implementation Specialist
  • Oracle Certified FIN R12 Implementation Specialist
  • Understanding of Oracle AIM methodology
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
