We’re looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join us in Kings Cross (London) or Leeds. We are a forward thinking and collaborative team looking for a talented senior internal auditor to join us. Audit, Risk and Compliance (ARC) provides an excellent opportunity to learn about all parts of our business, to travel and to work with senior stakeholders across our Liberty Blume. This role is ideally suited to any newly qualified accountants looking to move from practice to industry for the first time and this provides a potential gateway for an individual to grow within the Liberty Global group of companies, moving potentially into other areas of finance and beyond.
What will you be doing? We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to assist in the execution of scheduled internal audits in order to independently assess:
- Reliability and integrity of financial and operational information
- Adequacy of, and compliance with, policies, plans, standards, laws and regulations which could have a significant impact upon operations
- Efficiency in accomplishment of objectives and goals established for the company and projects
- Effectiveness and efficiency in the use of resources
- Internal control and process design
We tend to look for people with:
- You will be a professionally qualified accountant off to a flying start in your career as a risk, assurance or audit professional, ideally having gained this experience within a Big 4 or similar environment.
- We are looking for a motivated, hardworking and driven team member who can also act as a mentor to the more junior members in the team.
- You will be comfortable owning the planning and fieldwork components of audits with guidance when needed.
- Good understanding of risk and controls and an ability to translate this into appropriate audit programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, you will be well practised working with senior partners across multiple regions.
- You must be a confident teammate who will play a key role in delivering professional, credible and value‑added internal audit services to the global business.
- Above all, you will be results‑oriented, up for the challenge and have an ability to learn about all parts of our business.
