We’re looking for a Commercial Solicitor to join our team in Bradford on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with two days in the office and three days working remotely each week. As part of the continued growth of our Legal Operations team at Liberty Blume Business Solutions, we’re looking for a Solicitor to join us during an exciting period of expansion.

In this role, you’ll provide high-quality legal advice across a broad range of commercial contracts and transactional matters, helping our group companies effectively manage legal and commercial risk. You’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, as well as offering clear, practical advice. You’ll work with the latest technology to support your day‑to‑day work, alongside a supportive team and senior leadership to help you develop and progress your career.

What will you be doing?

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
    • Supplier and service contracts
    • Consultancy agreements
    • Framework agreements
    • NDAs and confidentiality agreements
    • IT and software agreements
    • Collaboration and partnership agreements

In Addition, You Will:

  • Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks
  • Ensure contracts are commercially sound, legally robust, and compliant with governance and approvals
  • Support the development and maintenance of standard templates and terms
  • Liaise with external counsel where specialist advice is required
  • Deliver training to colleagues and stakeholders on contract management and legal risk
  • Provide insights and suggestions to improve processes and drive efficiency

Essential We tend to look for people with:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with proven experience.
  • Experience in a commercial law firm or in‑house environment
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial principles
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proactive in keeping up to date with legal developments and best practice
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships through high‑quality service

Desirable:

  • Understanding of risk allocation and liability frameworks
  • Familiarity with procurement processes
  • Exposure to property‑related contracts (e.g. agreements for lease, development or service agreements)
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Confident leading meetings with stakeholders, clients and third parties
  • Involvement in business development activities, such as presentations, marketing or networking
