We're looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, to join us in London. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, the Senior Manager will hold delegated accountability for the delivery of Blume's funding, liquidity and selected strategic transaction workstreams. The role will set the analytical approach, lead cross-functional execution and hold accountability for the quality and delivery of financing, liquidity and capital structure workstreams.
Working closely with the CFO and Director of Corporate Finance, the successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, representing Corporate Finance across internal and external workstreams and ensuring complex capital initiatives are delivered to the required commercial, financial and governance standards.
What will you be doing?
- Capital Raising, Funding & Treasury: Hold end-to-end accountability for the financial and analytical workstreams across debt raises, refinancings, equity transactions and capital structure initiatives, including modelling, diligence, reporting and cross-functional delivery. Own Blume's 13-week cashflow forecast, strategic working capital reporting and liquidity forecasting, setting the analytical methodology, assumptions and reporting standards across contributing finance teams. Own forward-looking liquidity, debt headroom and covenant analysis, identifying risks and recommending mitigating actions to the CFO and Director of Corporate Finance. Lead the day-to-day delivery of financing and capital raising execution workstreams, directing inputs from internal teams and external advisers and resolving routine execution matters independently. Partner with Liberty Global Treasury on debt, liquidity and capital structure initiatives.
- Strategic Transactions: Lead the finance workstream for selected acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and carve-outs, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence and transaction execution. Set the finance diligence agenda and direct inputs from external advisors and cross-functional teams during deal execution.
- Financial Modelling & Analysis: Set the modelling standards and analytical methodologies applied across funding, liquidity, capital structure and strategic transaction workstreams. Own the integrity and governance of the Corporate Finance model suite, directing inputs from internal teams and external advisers and ensuring decision-ready outputs for senior leadership.
- Ways of Working: Partner closely with the Director of Corporate Finance to develop well-reasoned recommendations, models, and solutions for senior leadership, exercising sound judgement on escalation. Resolve technical and execution matters independently, escalating strategic decisions with clearly developed options and recommendations. Build capability across the wider Finance team by establishing methodologies, challenging outputs and coaching colleagues contributing to cashflow, funding and transaction analysis. Remain hands-on where required while retaining accountability for workstream quality, delivery and stakeholder alignment.
Essential skills and abilities:
- Substantial relevant transaction experience across leveraged finance, debt advisory, investment banking, structured finance, private credit, corporate treasury or a comparable in-house funding role.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex financing, liquidity or strategic transaction workstreams, including financial modelling, stakeholder coordination, due diligence and execution.
- Proven track record of building complex financial models, including 3-statement, debt, liquidity, valuation and capital structure models from scratch.
- Experience coordinating lenders, investors, advisers, due diligence and transaction execution workstreams.
- Strong understanding of cashflow forecasting, liquidity management, covenant compliance and funding structures.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex analysis to executives, lenders, investors and advisers.
- Entrepreneurial, self-starting and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Desirable:
- Exposure to or hands-on experience in M&A, business divestments, or strategic joint ventures.
- Exposure to SPVs, restricted groups, guarantees, security packages, cash sweep structures or other complex funding arrangements.
- Experience within a sponsor-backed, high-growth or multi-entity international business.
- Experience working alongside Boards, investors, lenders or senior executive leadership teams.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, STEM or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong financial modelling, capital raising and transaction execution experience are valued more highly than specific professional qualifications.
