As Senior Manager Data Strategy & Insight for Liberty Blume Procurement Services (LBPS), you will help drive an ambitious digital transformation agenda, working with technology teams to implement new digital capabilities and owning the development and implementation of a best-in-class LBPS data, insights and analytics strategy and underlying platform. You will have a deep understanding of the procurement and data technology landscape and play a critical role in translating raw data into meaningful insights, enabling LBPS and client teams to make well-informed decisions to increase the value of procurement activity and enable LBPS to provide new product/solutions leveraging intelligence. This role requires excellent data science skills and a strong understanding of procurement processes and technology (S2C suites and best-of-breed) to drive service excellence and insight.
What will you be doing?
- Technology Stack: Act as single point of contact within LBPS for data technology solutions. Liaise with Liberty Blume Technology teams to resolve any technical issues associated with designated solutions. Collate and notify Liberty Blume Technology teams of any need for change/enhancements/updates to ensure efficient delivery of client service.
- Strategic Data Leadership: Design and implement a comprehensive insights and analytics strategy that serves LBPS and clients strategic procurement goals and ambitions incorporating emerging AI technologies and cooperating with LSS Technology teams to ensure future proof data architecture leveraging Data Lake existing capabilities. Identify and integrate relevant data sources, both internal and external, establishing protocols for data collection, integration, and secure storage. Uphold data accuracy, consistency, and security, working with internal groups to implement corrective actions where required.
- Advanced Data Analysis and Interpretation: Identify relevant data sets and lead detailed analyses, extracting actionable insights and patterns relating (including, but not limited) to procurement operations, supplier performance, cost optimisation, and market dynamics, demand. Define key performance indicators, conceptualise relevant metrics, and build frameworks for measuring LBPS service excellence.
- Strategic Reporting and Visualisation: Design and deliver comprehensive, user-friendly reports and dashboards that convey insights to both internal LBPS teams and its clients. Build visualization tools to support delivery teams producing presentations that spotlight trends, opportunities, and areas of value creation for clients.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay on top of industry shifts, emerging technologies, and analytics trends. Find opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and the implementation of machine learning approaches to drive innovation within LBPS products and services.
We tend to look for people with:
- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, computer science or a related field. Advanced degree in any of these fields is also desired.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (GCP) and data management tool.
- Knowledge of agile product management methodologies and tools (Jira).
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and the intricacies of supply chain dynamics.
- Proven experience in AI and data science, preferably within the professional services industry and ideally within a procurement setting.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, integration, and management, including data lakes, ETL processes, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, R, or akin platforms, coupled with mastery of data visualization tools e.g. Power BI.
