We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team in Leeds. This is a hybrid role, with two days in the office each week.
As Senior Full Stack Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the products that sit at the core of our technology landscape.
Working within a cloud-native environment, you'll design, build, and deliver high-quality solutions across the full technology stack - including front-end applications, back-end services, APIs, and data integrations while promoting engineering best practices and technical excellence.
Collaborating closely with Product, Delivery, and Platform teams, you'll create secure, scalable, and user-focused applications that support our technology-driven transformation and future growth.
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across the front end, back end, APIs, and data integrations.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of features, from technical design and architecture through to development, testing, and deployment.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following modern engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Partner with Platform and Dev Ops teams to enable reliable deployments, strong system observability, and efficient CI/CD processes.
- Champion code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, contributing to engineering standards and design principles across the team.
- Actively contribute within an Agile Scrum environment, supporting sprint planning, solution design, estimation, and delivery.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using logs, monitoring, metrics, and tracing tools.
- Influence technical direction and architectural decisions, helping to shape the future of our platforms and products.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting engineering excellence across the team.
We tend to look for people with
- Proven experience designing, building, and supporting full-stack applications within cloud-native and/or Saa S environments.
- Strong expertise in modern front-end frameworks, ideally React, and component-based development.
- Solid back-end development experience using C# and . NET frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, API design best practices, and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another major cloud provider, including managed services and database integrations.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control, and release automation practices.
- Experience implementing automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong understanding of SQL and No SQL databases, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms including Cloud Run or Kubernetes.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, using logs, metrics, traces, and profiling tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, platform, and delivery teams.
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive salary + Bonus
- 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more.
- Enjoy your birthday off, plus receive an additional 3 days of annual leave once you reach 5 years of service.
- Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance, plus many more.

How to prepare for a job interview at Liberty Blume Business Solutions
✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills
For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.
✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks
Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Liberty Blume Business Solutions uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.
✨Showcase Your Projects
Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.
✨Prepare for Behavioural Questions
While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
