Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Retail Marketing, the Retail Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for elevating Liberty and our brand partners with creative campaigns, stories and activations that inspire the retail industry, excite our loyal customers and drive awareness to new audiences. This role requires an individual to confidently balance the weight of industry coverage we achieve for Liberty, how we provide support to our brand partners through a creative and authentic brand lens.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work cross-functionally to develop the campaign and sub-campaign strategy,
leading on creative ideas, storytelling and driving industry partnership opportunities.
Ensure that all campaign concepts and content amplify Liberty brand values, talk to the Liberty customer and deliver on commercial requirements.
• Lead communication with brands, buyers and digital channel owners for key launches and campaign moments at Liberty, centralising ideas across owned, earned and paid channels. Ensure plans are well considered and elevated for a successful launch and are briefed accurately to the Marketing Planning Executive and Marketing Project Lead to manage execution.
• Work alongside the Communications lead to ensure key product, brand and customer moments at Liberty are powerfully communicated with a Communications strategy that cleverly balances the awareness of Liberty as a retail destination and LIBERTY brand. Be a brand voice and advocate, building and nurturing relationships with key
press, industry and tastemakers across consumer and lifestyle.
• Manage the Influencer Marketing Specialist to develop and execute innovative
and authentic Influencer marketing campaigns, both domestic and globally, in line with
key launches and focuses within the marketing and trade calendars. Identify and build
relationships with prominent influencers and thought leaders within the industry. Oversee timely campaign reports that give visibility on all Influencer marketing activity to the wider business.
• Manage the Events coordinator, develop and execute the
events and retail activation strategy that continues to build upon the reputation of
Liberty as a globally unique and world famous retail destination. Utilise both offline and
digital events to continue to build the Liberty community and excite and engage our
customers through elevated theatre and memorable experiences.
• Oversee the planning, and support in the execution of all customer, press and
influencer events, owning the objectives and reporting back on KPI’s and learnings.
• Oversee the planning and support the Events Coordinator in the execution of special projects; third party partnerships and filming opportunities.
• Support the Head of Marketing Communications and Planning in setting and
monitoring the annual marketing comms budget, ensuring all activities are appropriately tracked.
PERSONAL QUALITIES + EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in marketing and communications at Manager level
• Well connected across the industry and have a strong understanding of the luxury
market.
• Experience working with and for global brands managing activity across the full
marketing mix.
• A mix of agency and luxury brand preferred.
• A proven track record of delivering in a similar role.
• A confident creative with innovative and adventurous ideas.
• A curious mindset with a keen eye on the trends that shape culture and how these
can be interpreted in benefit to campaign planning.
• Commercially aware with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• An analytical mindset able to simplify and interpret customer insights into
compelling campaigns.
